Phillies sent down Kyle Kendrick because he has been really struggling with an era of 4.82 and 5 wins and 4losses on the year and the Phillies are hoping with sending him down he can get better down in the minors and then recall him back up later. The Toronto Blue Jays were involved in a 5 player deal with the Atlanta Braves sending Alex Gonzalez,prospect reliever Tim Collins and infielder Tyler Pastornicky for Yunel Escobar and Jo-Jo Reyes. Escobar is a 27-year-old who is having a down season. Gonzalez, on the other hand is having a great season with 17hr and 50rbis but only batting .250.
