Trey Songz – Passion, Pain & Pleasure (2010) Album Review

Today, I'm going to be reviewing the new album Passion, Pain & Pleasure by R&B artist Trey Songz. This will be his fourth studio album. The album is set to release September 14th, 2010. Here is the tracklist for the album: 1. Here We Go Again (Interlude) 2. Love Faces 3. Massage 4. Alone 5. Bottoms Up (feat. Nicki Minaj) 6. Pain (Interlude) 7. Can’t Be Friends 8. Please Return My Call 9. Made To Be Together 10. Pleasure (Interlude) 11. Red Lipstick 12. The Usual (feat. Drake) 13. Doorbell 14. Passion (Interlude) 15. Unfortunate 16. Blind 17. You Just Need Me 18. Panty Droppa (Complete Version) (Bonus Track) 19. Love Me Better (Bonus Track) Trey Songz last album was called "Ready". It came out in August of 2009 has already hit Gold status. Gold status means that you have sold over 500,000 copies. That was Trey Songz first album award certification. Trey is only 25 years old, and is getting better as an artist and evolving with his lyrical content and making hit songs now. I got to listen to his whole album before its official public release on the 14th of this month. The production on this album was done by Kane Beatz, Mario Winans, Troy Taylor, Tha Bizness, Bei Maejor, Swizz Beatz and more. There production on this album is solid. Trey also got some great feature artists. His songs mostly talk about making love, relationships and women. The great thing about Trey is that he mixes it up well, the album has a good mix of slow R&B along with other upbeat songs. The single for the album is already out. It is called Bottoms Up featuring Nicki Minaj, the video is out also. I really like the single Bottoms Up its a good song. As for the rest of the album there is a good mix of slow songs on there but nothing which really stands out in my opinion. I like Bottoms Up and "The Usual" song featuring Drake. Personally, I don't think this album will sell as much as the Ready Album. Overall I would rate the album a 7 out of 10. It has a few good songs, but there is nothing which really excites me and makes me go "oh wow this is amazing." However, if you are a true R&B fan and you are a big fan of Trey Songz, you should definitely check it out when its dropped later this month! Here is my favourite track on the album:
