U Be the Critic is excited to announce that we will now be covering some exclusive Nissan and Infiniti content! This comes at a very special time for Nissan / Infiniti Canada. Infiniti recently launched it’s specialty-performance vehicle collection, the Infiniti Performance Line™ (IPL). To mark such an important event for Infiniti, they debuted the new 348 horsepower IPL G Coupe. The coupe is the first production vehicle in the new Infiniti Performance Line, and will become available at dealerships across Canada in March 2011.
The IPL promises new sporty designs and higher performance, while maintaining Infiniti’s standards for luxury. The line targets buyers that want a greater degree of style, performance and luxury. The models will be identified by unique trunk lid badging, and for those who look under the hood, a special engine cover.
About the IPL G Coupe
The 2011 IPL G Coupe uses the foundation of the second-generation Infiniti G Coupe rear-wheel drive model, and has been extensively modified throughout. It has a unique exterior, including special front and rear bumpers with integrated fog lights and black finishers, a rear spoiler and chrome exhaust tips. The car sits on exclusive 19-inch IPL 7-spoke rims with low-profile Bridgestone Potenza tires. It will be offered in just two exterior colours: Graphite Shadow and Malbec Black.
The interior will be sporty while maintaining many of the luxury elements found in regular Infinitis. Features include: Infiniti Studio on Wheels by Bose® premium audio system, Infiniti Hard Drive Navigation System, a 9.3GB Music Box Hard Drive, Infiniti Voice Recognition for audio navigation, memory system for driver’s seat, steering wheel and outside mirrors, RearView Monitor, Rear Sonar and moonroof.

The IPL features a full dual exhaust design. It has an advanced 3.7-litre V6 engine generating 348 horsepower and 276 lb-ft of torque.
To increase the handling performance, front spring rates have been increased 20% over the base G Coupe and rear spring rates increased 10%. Shock tuning has also been adjusted to reach a new premium performance standard. The IPL G Coupe also offers a sport-tuned steering gear and large 4-wheel sport brakes with aluminum-alloy opposed calipers, and a Limited-Slip Differential.
