Is Kid Canada the Best Point Guard in the NBA?

There is no denying his ability, and the way he envisions the court, is truly remarkable. He’ll provide you with 16-18 points a game, and 10+ assists a game easily. The last couple seasons he even reached 11+ assists. Steve has put together 6 straight seasons of shooting 50% or better from the field. He truly makes everyone around him better, and even made some mediocre players look like all-stars out there, so they could cash in on some big deals come free agency time. Nash will play hurt, with a broken nose, cuts all over his face, broken bones, it doesn’t matter, whenever he falls down, he’ll get right back at up. Steve has a hockey mentality it seems when it comes to the roughness of the game, or playing hurt, and many fans appreciate that aspect of his game.
Guys like Deron Williams and Chris Paul are not too far off, I believe. Deron takes the reign as the #2 PG in the league. Williams can break down a defense easily it seems with his crossovers, and is definitely a tough matchup for opposing point guards. He has a big build, and can use his body to get down low and finish layups or dish the ball off. Coach Sloan has the team in contention, every season, and that team knows how to play the game the right way. Williams will be dropping dimes to a new big man this season, as Carlos Boozer has signed on with the Bulls. The Jazz did trade for Al Jefferson, and if he can regain his form as a 20-10 player, the Jazz will be once again a Western Conference force.
Chris Paul, is definitely one of the top PG’s in the league, and if it wasn’t for the injury he had last season, could even possibly have the #1 spot. Whether he remains with the Hornets or not, there’s no denying he’s an all-star point guard. I think he’ll eventually get traded, as the Hornets haven’t surrounded him with any true talent over the years. Whether it’s the Knicks, Magic, Dallas or Portland, his stock would really rise in any of those cities. I envision him as a Knick and playing alongside Amare, or imagine pick and rolls alongside Dwight, the assists that Paul would be racking up would be at an alarming rate. Paul is great at stealing the ball as well, and a pesky defender. After next season, I think Chris Paul will take the reigns as the best PG in the league.
