Sony Ericsson AINO U10i Review

I recently got a new cell phone, the Sony Ericsson AINO u10i. Several features drew me to the phone. The 8.1 megapixel camera, touchscreen, and the simple interface that it uses. More and more phones today are using ANDROID or windows mobile, which I personally do not like. The AINO's simple interface is a refreshing blast from the past, when cell phones were exactly what they were supposed to be - cell phones! This phone has great reception (I am currently using it on the FIDO network) a stellar camera, GPS navigation which unfortunately uses data, mp3 player functionality, and even an fm radio. I used the camera for both still shots and video camera use on a recent trip and I was astonished at the quality of the photos and videos that it delivered. I honestly do not need my digital camera anymore. Even in dark places, the built in flash was more than sufficient to light up the scenes. My only gripe with the camera is that I can not force the flash to be on, so if the camera detects that there is no need for a flash (even if there may be darker areas in the shot) it will not use the flash. The build quality on the phone is superb. It is compact, and solid. I've dropped the phone and never once have I worried about it breaking. The touch screen is not as sophisticated as that of the iphone 3GS, but it serves its purpose well. My only other major complaint for this phone is that it only uses Sony Ericsson proprietary chargers, headphones, and data transfer cables. Most phones these days employ a mini usb slot which can charge and transfer data, and a standard headphone jack. The phone has a couple gigabytes built in, and supports additional memory via memory cards (which is a leg up on the iphone which doesn't accept additional memory). I highly recommend this phone for those who are not technologically savvy, or anyone who enjoys having an incredible camera at their disposal at any given time!
